Tips and advice

Even though work and school have started back it doesn’t mean your summer entertaining needs to come to an end. There’s still plenty of beautiful, warm evenings and weekends to fill with BBQ’s and social gatherings. We’ve got a few tips to make your entertaining a little easier…

Drink markers and straws

Create some fun at your social occasions with our drink markers and straws. They’re not just cheeky and decorative but also practical, as guests won’t lose track of their drink all the time. The perfect party glass accessory!

Keep the drinks cold

The last thing you want to be doing is running around after everyone topping up drinks, as you want to have time to sit down and enjoy everyones company. A few ice buckets placed around means people can serve themselves and it doesn’t take over your fridge space so more room for all the party food!

Don’t forgot about the drivers

Remember to cater for those that aren’t drinking alcohol. It’s nice to offer a non-alcholic punch, not only does it look impressive on the table but it keeps your guests hydrated and makes you a responsible host. A jug of cold icy water with sliced lemon is also a great idea. We’ve listed one of our fav non-alcoholic recipes below. P.s it’s also great for the kids!

Summer Punch

2 Litres fruit juice (apple or orange)

1 litre lemonade or ginger ale

Fresh mint

1 orange (sliced)

1 punnet blueberries or strawberries

1x bag of ice

& mix well!

Organising the platter

We all know cheese is best served at room temperature. Our Kupu range features a versatile cheese dome so you can prep your platter in advance and have it sitting in the fridge on the board, or out for display without having to worry about all those pesky fly’s landing on all your beautiful food. While you’re at it you might as well decant your red wine ready for serving so it’s aromas and flavours are more vibrant for guests. Our arielle wine decanter is always a popular seller

Let guests sleep over

Don’t forget about those guests who might end up wanting a place to crash for the night and make sure you’ve got the spare room all made up ready with a comfy sofa bed. #responsiblehost
