Winter 2021 - working with Godfrey Hirst and Resene
This winter we partnered with Resene and Godfrey Hirst to create some beautiful, cosy, wintery looks. The overall colour palette was inspired by nature, featuring warm earthy tones with a hint of gold. Greys and blues remain a classic paired with soft browns to add a warming contrast. Natural materials and chunky textured throws create warmth and depth to any room.
Lush lounging
Taupe, beige, caramel and toffee tones all work harmounously together, creating a comfortable space. If you’re seeking neutral with a touch of warmth, you can’t look past Resene Half Drought - it‘s a soft, creamy taupe which had been blended effortlessly with a hint of rose. Pair with the rich Resene Brown Sugar and layer plush cushions, thick throws and eclectic décor for the ultimate cosy nook.Godfrey Hirst - Astoria Summer Grace was selected as a warm durable laminate to provide a tonal balance with the soft wheat flock sofa and finished with the pebble loop pile rug to create depth. Astoria offers a unique variety of grain pattens and hues creating an authentic timber appearance.
Kids’ corner
Creating a fun kids space is as easy as a few test pots and some masking tape. Three simple triangles painted in Resene Quarter Karaka, Resene Ravine and Resene Cabbage Pont are the perfect base for a mountain effect. Finish the mountains off with a touch of Resene Half Black White.
Godfrey Hirst - Ravine Fissure was chosen as a luxurious natural multi-level loop wool carpet. The hint of green provides a freshness that complements the mountain scene and olive accessories.
Sophisticated elegance
Godfrey Hirst’s Enchant midnight blue wool cut pile twist set the scene for this shot. This statement blue carpet creates a real point of difference and perfectly complements the serene hues in the abstract with gold canvas. The sabine modular sofa is dressed in tonal earthy browns and deep blue tones to create a moody yet warm ambience.
Wood stains are a great way to introduce texture and character into your home. Resene Colorwood - Dark Ebony celebrates the natural timber grain and highlights the natural beauty of the plywood walls.
Calm and cool
Industrial meets modern with this eclectic mix of furniture and accessories. FX paint effects provided the inspiration for this shot, bringing texture and dimension to the space. We started with a Resene Bluff base and built highlights by applying Resene Ravine quickly in a criss-cross motion with a brush. We’ve got our eye on a few different paint effects for our next shoot. We wanted a flooring that would add some warmth to this room. Godfrey Hirst Villa – Silver Finch is a beautiful oak timber flooring, creating a real focal point with unique natural patterns on each board. We complimented this with contrasting cool greys and plants to give a sense of nature and energy to the space.
