2 days out – don’t be a last minute Mary

Check. The. Weather. Were you planning an outdoor Christmas dinner? Now is the time to confirm the weather is going to play ball. The weather forecast should be fairly accurate at this point and you have enough time to make any changes to your dining location now.

You know that Aunt Sally likes to turn up every 5th year unannounced – prepare! Make sure you include enough food on the list and have a spare gift for the surprise guests you may have to cater for on the day. It also pays to check that you have enough glassware and dinnerware for everyone. The more the merrier right?!

Christmas Eve – it’s all about the food

Set your alarm nice and early, today you need to hit the supermarket for all the food and drink supplies you’ll need for Christmas day. Double check your shopping list – have you thought about dietary requirements for the guests? Have you got a good balance of savoury and sweet? Consider what people may like to drink – yes guests tend to bring their own but it never hurts to have extra – especially for that impromptu after dinner party when the neighbours pop in.
